Justice Reform Happy Hour, July 20, 2017

On July 20, 2017, Justice Forward Virginia hosted an event, co-sponsored by the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, to discuss justice reform and start planning future action on a variety of critical topics. Andy Elders introduced Justice Forward and its goals, Bonnie Hoffman of NACDL made the case for discovery reform as a matter of fairness, and Senators Adam Ebbin and George Barker discussed how to make reform a reality in the current legislative climate. Over 60 people were in attendance. It was an amazing night and an encouraging step towards even bigger things in the future.
