ANNUAL Justice Reform "Prep Rally” - January 9th, 2022

January 13th, 2022 marks the start of the Virginia General Assembly General Session. In its annual tradition, Justice Forward will host its “Prep Rally”— to better inform and mobilize advocates to effectively lobby for meaningful criminal justice reform in 2022. Both legislators and policy experts will take to Facebook LIVE, Sunday, January 9th at 5:00pm.

Lawmakers in the Virginia House of Delegates and Virginia Senate have told us they want to hear from their constituents, want data to support change, and want to work together to make Virginia safe and just for all. We’ll be joined by Delegate Mike Mullin, Executive Director of Marijuana Justice Chelsea Higgs Wise, and Justice Forward’s distinguished policy makers.

Our virtual “Prep Rally” will get you informed about the issues on the table this session, and will assist advocates to feel more confident in lobbying for criminal justice reform. We know the General Assembly is capable of bold action when the people show them that they care. Join us at the event, invite your friends and family, and know that together we can. Let’s go!
