I SURVIVED CRIM SUB-A Post Session Roundup
Thursday, March 11
7pm
Join Justice Forward Virginia and a panel of special guests on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 7pm for our post-session roundup, “I Survived Crim Sub.” We'll talk about what went down during the 2021 session of the Virginia General Assembly, celebrate successes, recap setbacks, and start looking toward where we go next!
In addition to members of the Justice Forward Virginia board, several special guests will be joining us—a crew of advocates who were especially dogged and active in criminal justice reform and racial justice this session. They’ve been in the trenches, fighting within their respective areas of expertise, and they've put an incredible amount of work into developing policy, testifying on behalf of reform legislation, meeting with legislators, and mobilizing and educating other advocates—all of which contributed to the major leap forward we took over the past two months in improving Virginia's criminal legal system.

From expungement reform to marijuana legalization, to the fight to allow evidence of mental illness in non-insanity cases, to ending capital punishment, and so much more, come get the skinny on the entire panel’s journey, the blood sweat and tears that got us all here, and what’s on the horizon. Hope to see you on March 11th!
